How To Become a Successful Content Creator

As the way we work is constantly changing and the digital nomad lifestyle is becoming more and more popular, I decided to share some of the most important lessons from my 10 years of blogging and social media career.

I predict that during the next couple of years, more and more people will decide to work remotely and enjoy the benefits that an independent lifestyle can offer. That being said, it is worth noticing that blogging and social media marketing is one of the most common ways to become a digital nomad and travel the world while working. It allows you to do your job from virtually anywhere in the world as long as you have your laptop/phone and fast internet connection.

Most of this guide is focused on blogging and social media so it is suitable for anyone who is thinking about becoming a content creator. A separate chapter about digital nomad lifestyle will be added at a later date. Enjoy the journey!

1. Just Start

The secret of getting ahead is getting started.

The secret of getting started is breaking all of your complex, overwhelming tasks into small, manageable tasks, and then starting with the first one.

Mark Twain

One of the most common mistakes that many people make is overthinking the whole process. As much as careful planning is part of becoming successful in this very competitive field, keep in mind that there is never a perfect time to start. No matter how much time and effort you are going to invest in the planning stage, you will never feel fully prepared and lots of unexpected things will happen.

Just make a decision and start with what you know and what you have. You will figure out the rest as you go.

5 Simple Steps to Get Started

  • Choose your blogging platform (we recommend Blogger, WordPress or Wix)
  • Decide which social media channel is best for you. Start simple. Set up your account.
  • Create your "About" section. Again, make it simple. You can always change it later.
  • Create your first post.
  • Get active by following people in your industry and letting them know about your page.

A Couple of Things to Remember

The blogging and social media scene is currently oversaturated however that shouldn't stop you from starting your own project. Keep in mind that many content creators come and go and all you need to do is be persistent and focus on delivering the best quality possible. With hard work, creativity, and a good business strategy in place, you can surely get where you want to be. Just give it time and be patient, don't rush things and always keep your eyes fixed on your goal.

Being focused and disciplined helps a lot in moments of doubt when you want to give up everything because of the challenges or disappointments that you will surely encounter. It takes years to build a successful platform and an engaged community of supportive readers/followers. There are no shortcuts along the way. (Don't even try buying your followers! It will backfire in a long run and surely hurt your business at some pointhonesty and integrity are more important than you think.)

Developing the right mindset, resilience, and confident attitude serves as a great foundation to start your own business and survive in a competitive world of social media, video creation, and blogging.

  3. The new look is great for the next generation but it is important that we do not forget the traditions of our ancestors. Living within the realm of civilization, we can do this kind of shopping through Herrschners Coupon, Which will be useful for us.
