Your perfect Mexican escape

The importance of taking time off and going for vacation cannot be underestimated. The popularity of one-stop destinations where you can immerse yourself in everything from the local culture to excellent cuisine, nightlife, spa treatments, water sports, and outdoor activities has been growing in the recent years and is likely to continue in 2021 and beyond.
Riviera Nayarit offers everything you may need for a relaxing and unforgettable time away - either on your own, with your partner, friends or family. In August 2020, Fashion Studio Magazine visited W Punta de Mita, a gorgeous resort situated right on the beach and offering state-of-the-art amenities that will make a lasting impression even on the most demanding travellers.

Tropical Paradise
Located only 20 minutes from Sayulita, W Punta de Mita offers a refreshing twist on resort travel. This gorgeous property located right at the beachfront provides a perfect environment to soak up sun, get a spa treatment, surf, and immerse yourself in local art and culture.
Offering a lot of privacy, excellent customer service, and great attention to detail, W Punta de Mita will satisfy the needs of even the most demanding guests who are looking for a luxurious getaway and mild tropical climate.
Punta de Mita - sometimes called "La Península del Glamour" by Mexican people - is located at the same latitude as the Hawaiian Islands. The temperatures are comfortable throughout the year with average around 29 °C (85 °F ) in summer and 24 °C (75 °F) during winter months.
It is worth noticing that W Punta de Mita is a pet-friendly destination so you can enjoy the company of your furry friend in most areas of the resort. There is even a special pet menu available on request which makes your stay comfortable and worry-free.

Unique location and remarkable architecture and design - well integrated with the surrounding landscape - make W Punta de Mita one of the most interesting resort destinations in Mexico.
Inspired by the local surf culture and bohemian lifestyle, the design of the hotel represents mysticism and spirituality of Mexican culture as well as the unstoppable energy and the joy of living that can be found in many aspects of everyday life.

Beautiful art of the indigenous Huichol people has been carefully integrated into numerous areas of the resort - both indoors and outdoors.
“Camino Huichol” walkway featuring various shades of blue, green, black and white mosaic (751,184 tiles were used to make it!) is a central art piece at W Punta de Mita. It represents life's journey and connects hotel lobby with one of the swimming pools and the beach area.
“The Huichol or Wixárika are an indigenous people of Mexico living in the Sierra Madre Occidental range in the states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango. They are best known to the larger world as the Huichol, however, they refer to themselves as Wixáritari ("the people") in their native Huichol language. The adjectival form of Wixáritari and name for their own language is Wixárika.” - Source: Wikipedia

W Punta de Mita is an excellent example how you can incorporate local art and design into a very modern environment and make it an integral part of a luxury lifestyle. Stepping into the resort is like suddenly finding yourself in a spacious art gallery where every single object has its own place and meaning and the whole atmosphere of the hotel is unique and unforgettable - Mexican with a contemporary twist. Well done, W Hotels!

AWAY® Spa, a peaceful tropical retreat, is definitely one of the highlights of W Punta de Mita. This nature-inspired spa, hidden in the jungle, is a perfect spot to re-centre your body and spirit through one of its signature treatments.
"Its welcome area features natural stone floors and walls paired with beige, white, green, and blue. A vibrant statement chandelier crafted from glass flowers in the colours of a Mexican sunset, signature spa scent, and curated spa playlist heighten the serene scene. Plush modern armchairs and coffee tables tempt you to recline and sip our signature chlorophyll water and fresh beverages from the adjacent juice bar as you prepare for your custom treatment." - Source: Marriott.com

AWAY spa is home to five private treatment rooms and offers a wide range of massages, body treatments, and facials which are all performed using natural and organic products (such as Eminence or Babor). You can book a full day of pampering (as the spa provides various packages as well) and combine your massage with various beauty services - from manicure to make-up.
Relaxing outdoors area - called Relaxation Deck - features a spacious hydrotherapy pool where you can refuel your spirit, get energised and refreshed with cold mist, hydro jets, pressure shower, and waterfalls at varied temperatures. The whole area offers a lot of privacy and is surrounded by beautiful tropical jungle.

Elegant dressing rooms include a sauna and a steam room so you can indulge yourself in a refreshing cold / hot water therapy (cold water stimulates the removal of toxins and helps relieve inflammation while hot water has relaxing properties, helping to reduce stress). Cold / hot therapy is great for giving your immune system an extra boost.
Finish your appointment with a delicious cup of tea or try something from the in-room dining menu.

Visiting W Punta de Mita wouldn't be complete without spending lots of time outdoors - walking on the beach, swimming in the ocean, surfing, or enjoying one of their large swimming pools.
After a full-day pool session at WET® you can surely feel your tension melt away. This outdoor pool overlooking the beach is a great spot to watch sunsets over the Pacific Ocean. Highly recommended!
