All the gorgeous ladies out there who have reached the magical number 4 are well aware that age is only a number. It is perfectly normal that with time our skin and body start feeling differently, more mature, more willing to succumb any obstacles that lie in front of us, and with that notion and feel we need to push a little bit harder to look even more ravishing. If you have ever wondered that it isn't possible to look drop-dead gorgeous and fit over 40, you have really thought wrong. There are innumerable beauty tips that you can incorporate so that you look glowing, sensuous and content with your age and looks. Here some basic and essential tips that will help you achieve just that.


Nurture and protect your skin

With age, skin requires more of your delicate care and devotion, and the best way to keep it fresh and glowing is by applying a suncream on a daily basis. Proper skin protection is the first thing that you should do to have and maintain a nurtured and soft skin. Next, exfoliation of dead skin is another great way to moisturize the skin and keep it fresh and clean. Choose a scrub that suits your skin type, and get a light oil-based moisturizer that will keep your skin hydrated and clean. What is more, you can also make a good DIY face mask to hydrate your skin even more. Use only natural products like honey, fruit, and yogurt.

Implement some vital dietary changes

‘We are what we eat' phrase sounds utterly tedious, but is absolutely true. Many foods that we tend to eat usually when we are busy can have a negative impact both on our bodies and health. Once you turn 40, you won't be able to digest foods that you used to love as fast as you were in your 20s. However, there is no need to start panicking or go on a heavy diet, no, just implement some essential and effective dietary changes. Eat a balanced diet made up of 40% carbohydrates, 30 % healthy fats and proteins. Always go for healthy proteins like lentils and oats, and keep away from fast foods, processed foods, too sugary and salty products. Go for fruits and vegetables at any time, as well as nuts and seeds, and never skip meals.

Stay active

If you are not much of a sporty type, remember that you can never be too old to start. Staying active and doing some form of exercise can do wonders to your body. Not only will you be fit and energetic, but you will feel rejuvenated and strong. Find something that works for you. You can go running, do pilates, yoga, or get some quality gym equipment like dumbbells or a treadmill and do some vital cardio at home. Doing weight and strength training can actually protect bones and help prevent loss of bone and loss of bone density. Workout three times per week and hit each major muscle group and only choose weight that you are comfortable with. Strength and weight training help you maintain a balanced fitness level, plus you are significantly boosting your health.

Accentuate your eyes

When it comes to those nasty wrinkles there is a secret that you can apply in order to hide them completely. For hot and majestic look use a good under eye gel or cream that will keep your eyes nourished and protected. Fine lines and wrinkles might be the first sign of aging, but if you focus on applying quality products, you can get rid of them in no time. Focus on beautifying your eyes. Use a black eyeliner to make your eyes look more youthful and awake. Keep the rest of the makeup subtle and shimmery, and use only quality and minimalistic primer. Opt for matte shades for eye makeup, and avoid lip gloss but rather use lipstick in coral or earthy colors.

Hydrate

Water is truly the essence of life. It should be your top priority to drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to keep your skin vital and vigorous. Water will fuel your body after a strenuous workout and maintain your skin flexible and fresh. By hydrating properly you keep your health in order and may lose weight as well, which is hard to achieve after 40.


Don't let your age slow you down. Beautify yourself with the most quality and expensive products, walk and exercise more, eat well and stay hydrated. You can do whatever your heart desires and more because there are literally no obstacles that you cannot overcome.
