on an adventure outdoor trip

Hitting the outdoors is perhaps the most beautiful part of every vacation. However, it calls for a lot of pre-planning especially when it’s an adventure outdoor trip. Such a trip will require you to prepare a long list of all the essentials you would need to carry. Well, if you don’t want to stuff your backpack and want to keep it light, you just need to carry basic items. Given below are the five most essential things you shouldn’t miss to put in your bag while gearing up for an adventure outdoor trip:


1. Apt Equipment: Choose the right equipment according to the adventure activity you will be engaging in. An adventure activity can be rock or mountain climbing, kayaking, camping, or trekking. Based on the activity, you need to decide which equipment you require. For example – if it is camping, then you will require a camp tent, pillow, blanket, grill, fire camp, and so on. 2. Clothes, Footwear & Accessories: Traveling is about wearing comfortable clothing on the wear. Wear apparel in which you are perfectly comfortable. Make sure to wear according to the climatic condition of your destination. If you are moving from a hot to cold climatic region, you can start with a sleeveless tee and shorts and switch to warm clothing ensembles on the way. Also, your footwear according to the weather condition. Carry hats, socks, umbrella if required. 


3. Food and Water: Make sure to carry enough water to keep yourself hydrated throughout the journey. For adventurous trips, you will also need to carry energy drinks that will help you go through your journey with ease. Also, you will require subtle food staples. Carry something light that you can easily digest while traveling. Don’t forget to pack snacks, nuts, fruits, seeds, protein bars, tortillas, and so on.

4. Medicines: Carry basic medicines for cold, fever or anything else you are prone to. You can also pack a small first-aid box that will include an antiseptic cream, band-aids, scissors, sprain spray, etc. If you have a special health condition, take all your medicines along with you. Also, make sure to keep your doctor’s phone number handy so that you can call him whenever it’s required. Lastly, don’t forget to carry sunscreen


5. Camera: Traveling is all about making memories. To cherish the moments later, you need to capture them in your camera. So, put your camera/video recorder in your backpack. Before putting them inside, just make sure that they are fully charged and have enough memory. You may also require carrying their chargers for battery supply.

6. Toiletries: Although toiletries are available in every hotel, you should carry your own. You will definitely need your own if you are opting for activities like camping. So, pack indispensable toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, moisturizer, hand-sanitizer, and so on. Carry small bottles to avoid mess as well as to lighten the weight of your traveling bag.
