LISBON, PORTUGAL - Let's go back to the trendy Portuguese capital for a while! From 7 - 10 March 2019, Fashion Studio Magazine attended another edition of ModaLisboa / Lisboa Fashion Week. If you missed our daily coverage of the shows, here is a chance to catch up with everything that was happening on the catwalk.
Friday shows started with Sangue Novo - emerging Portuguese designers - and included runway presentations by Carolina Raquel, Rita Carvalho, Federico Protto, The Co.Re, Opiar, and Archie Dickens. A lot of designers came up with very unique and bold designs using interesting colour combinations, asymmetric cuts, and layering. You can see our favourite looks below!
"Welcome to ModaLisboa INSIGHT. More than an invitation, a call to rethink, understand and interpret fashion together; through the fashion makers in a fast paced world where reality is hard to define." - Eduarda Abbondanza, President of ModaLisboa Association
"We are living tumultuous but creative and stimulating times. We believe everything has already been done, but we always know that there's still so much more to do. We live contemporary dilemmas that force us to rapidly react in times where we perhaps would need more time. However, we also know that fashion does not live inside a bubble, it has an eminent social and political presence, because it speaks to and represents our era and therefore reacts to what people say." - Eduarda Abbondanza
