Let's go back to Lisbon, one of our favourite European capitals, which is currently becoming more and more popular, attracting millions of visitors from around the world every year. This shouldn't be surprising for anyone as this cosmopolitan city has a lot of things to offer: historic architecture, great dining and shopping scene, vibrant nightlife, and a very mild climate with up to 2,600 hours of sun each year (more than 300 days of sunshine).
If you are looking for a comfortable, central accommodation, Hotel Expo Astória is definitely a place to consider. This three-star hotel, located in a gorgeous Art Deco style building from the 19th Century, was renovated in 2015 and offers everything you need for a business or leisure stay. Its excellent amenities include a bar and restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a small gym, and 113 guest rooms with air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, and mini-bar.

All guests can enjoy a welcome drink on their arrival (delicious Vinho do Porto, a Portuguese fortified wine produced with distilled grape spirits exclusively in the Douro Valley in the northern provinces of the country). You shouldn't miss it!

Room 602 is very spacious and features a separate work area with a large desk and natural light. The bathroom is located close to the entrance, it has a large mirror, a walk-in shower, and Luxury Premium Collection toiletries.

Interesting design elements and artwork displayed around the hotel were one of the definite highlights of our stay. The hotel has a unique atmosphere and walking around the lobby feels a lot like being in a modern art gallery.

Dining at the Astória Restaurant was a real pleasure as the food was always exceeding our expectations and the atmosphere was very lively in the evenings. It seemed like a popular place not only with tourists, but with locals as well. On both nights during our stay, we chose to dine at the hotel's restaurant instead of going somewhere else. It was not only a very convenient option, but most of all the selection and quality of food was exactly what we were looking for. Thank you for a great dining experience!

LOCATION
The location of Hotel Expo Astória couldn't be better. It is very easy to reach by public transport and there are several shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. You are just a few minutes away from the elegant Avenida da Liberdade and Eduardo VII Park. And if you are in Lisbon to attend the fashion week, Pavilhão Carlos Lopes is within a reasonable distance as well.
