A GLOBAL FASHION AFFAIR
THAT MARKED THE HISTORY OF SAN FRANCISCO THIS FALL
September is known as Fashion Month all over the world and San Francisco is no different. For the past five years, every September in the city is marked by the award winning Fashion Community Week. A four day celebration of fashion presentations, showcasing local and global fashion, and most importantly providing a platform for emerging talents and designers who are underrepresented in the industry. The participating fashion designers & brands create brand new collection to launch at Fashion Community Week every year.
Celebrating five-year anniversary as an organization, Fashion Community Week continues to expand under the leadership of a diverse board of professionals, and responding to community demands, now presents bi-annually. Firmly standing for their belief that fashion has no borders, this year we launched a #Wunite campaign representing world unity and women’s unity, a sincere reflection of this organization’s legacy.
Opening night kicked off at members only club The Modernist with ‘PrivĂ© Shop the Runway & Influencers Evening’. This was an opportunity for Buyers to shop designer’s collections not yet released in the market place. The evening included with an industry meet and greet with Press, Influencers and fashion designers.
The second night was the most extravagant event held at the iconic Fairmont Hotel, titled ‘International Couture Fashion show & Showroom’. The following designers presented on the runway: IB Bayo, Binta Sagale, Rosa Pistachio, FD Fashion House & George Styler. The exhibitors included: Manjusha Jewels, Philine, Camp Couture, Tendance, Rudo Active, Plantioxidants, Borbon, Rosebud & Sephora. The show concluded with an unveiling of the #Wunite campaign marked by models on the runway adorned with flags of various countries all over the world. The celebration after party took place at The W Hotel.
The third night was the Exclusive Fashion & Pret-a-Porter show held at the trendy and hip Clift Hotel. The following designers presented on the runway: Fantabela, William Lei, Veronica Estrada, Too Damn Expensive & Ayla. The celebration wrapped with an afterparty filled wall to wall with San Francisco fashion lovers.

I love this place. I had an event here back in May last year and I felt like it was a perfect day for us! The venue NYC provides you with an event Specialist as part of your package which is extremely helpful. Plus all of us dressed up only added to the entire ambience.
