Hello Lisbon!

The biggest event in Portuguese fashion, ModaLisboa, took place from 8 - 12 March 2017 at the newly renovated Pavilhão Carlos Lopes. This year, the fashion week celebrated its 50th edition and it won't be an exaggeration to say that it was better than ever before.

The opening show, Sangue Novo, featured eight emerging Portuguese designers and was not only very inspiring, but also in many ways surprising. It was great to see so many talented designers experimenting with traditional conventions and bringing a unique and fresh insight into today's fashion scene.

Our favourite collections included: colourful menswear pieces by Federico Cina, asymmetric designs and intriguing pastel palette by Opiar, deconstructed garments and monochrome cobalt blue look by Rita Sá, and eye-catching prints by Federico Protto.

"MODALISBOA No.50 challenges us to look at the world in a different way and with a different rhythm, to recognise a new movement of trends, a different intensity of time, and even perhaps the end of seasons as we know them." - ModaLisboa
