If you have ever wondered what cosmetics and makeup essentials you need to bring on a trip, you are in the right place. When you pack your beauty products, you need to find the ones that can potentially be used for more than one purpose, and that will last the whole trip. But first, you need to decide what kind of traveler you are, so you can determine what should go into your beauty kit.
Are you a fashionista who prefers to bring every lipstick and eyeshadow that you own, or are you a low-key voyager who is fine with some tinted moisturizer and a lip balm? The last thing that you want to do is bring heavy loaded things that you will need to carry all the time.
We have made a list of the stuff you are going to need while traveling. We suggest you pack these beauty products because you will undoubtedly need them on your vacation.
Without further ado, let’s dive in.

Makeup for Travel
Moisturizer: This is very important for your skin, because it will also act as a foundation, and protect it from the sun. Pick the one that doesn’t slide off during the day or a night out and one that will let your skin breathe. The best thing is that you can pick travel sized ones in beauty cosmetic stores.
Creamy Blush: You can find long lasting, creamy blush in a small container. There is no need to bring a brush with you because you can just use your fingers to smudge it.
Longwear Lip color: Pick up the one that will last for a day. Test some of the product you want to use and decide which one is the best for travel. We always recommend that you bring one nighttime shade, and one natural daytime shade.
Bronzer: Powdered bronzer is not a good idea when traveling. What you need is a cream based one. You can also use it without a brush to get that sun-kissed, natural look.
Liner: Use the one that is water resistant and smudge-proof. It will last a whole day, just apply it and forget about it.
Brow product: Be careful when you are choosing the right product for your brows. Some of them are slipping off too easy. Pencils are easier to use and more travel-friendly. They are waterproof, so if you get a chance to swim in the ocean, don’t worry about your brows, just have some fun!
Mascara: Don’t forget an essential item that you can bring anywhere you go. For us, this is the most important piece of makeup a woman can wear. You can choose a travel sized version to give you that doe-eyes and long-lasting effect.

Lashes: To get that glamorous and natural look you can use mink lashes like the ones from Lashblossom and avoid mascara. They are perfect for any occasion such as graduations, parties, weddings, birthday or day-to-day wear. You will look fabulous!
Eyeshadow: To ensure that your eyeshadow doesn’t break and spill all over your bag, use cream based products. Eyeshadow can be an expressive and super fun product but don’t use a large palette because it will take too much space. The perfect version for your vacation would definitely be the one with neutral colors.
Haircare for Travel
According to Iris Apfel for Harper’s Bazaar, if you have proper shoes, and your hair is done well, you can get away with anything.
Shampoo and conditioner: When you find the perfect conditioner and shampoo, bring as much as you can. You will find travel-version in stores if you are going on a shorter trip.
Shampoo bar: Sometimes it is better to go with the shampoo bar because bottles are very heavy. It washes your hair amazingly well, even if it looks like a standard bar of soap. The great thing is that it will last approximately three months.
Dry shampoo: It may take you a while to find the perfect dry shampoo for your hair, but when you do, you are ready to go on an outdoor adventure. If you are staying in some place where running water isn’t available all the time, just use this product. Or if you have somewhere to be, but don’t have time to get ready use a dry shampoo. Believe us when we say it is a life changer and it will save your hair in countless situations.

Other Beauty Products
Talcum powder: Talcum powder is a must if you are going to wear boots and go trekking for long periods of time. It will keep your feet dry and clean, preventing some fungal infections and nasty cases of athletes’ foot. You can also use it as a dry shampoo if you want to cut back your luggage.
Hairbrush and a compact mirror: You can purchase a small brush for travel that includes a built-in mirror. This is a perfect item that you can always wear with you in your little bag.
Deodorant and perfume: It is essential, compact and long-lasting. Choose a small-sized one or a roll on. As for the perfume, try a solid one to save on liquids.
Scissors: Bring a pair of foldable, tiny scissors with you to cut bangs, give haircuts or trim split ends. Never use them on paper because if you damage the blade, it can harm your hair ends. They are the most prone to splitting and breakage, which leads to frizz and tangles.

Skincare Tips for Travel
Cleanser should be the first and only item you should be taking with you from your home. This is because when you change cleansers, it can disrupt your skin’s acid balance, and even cause a breakout. Also, you should never leave home if you don’t have a hand cream in your bag. Use it constantly to avoid having dry hands.
We hope that these tips will help you to narrow down the options and choose the right beauty essentials for your next trip!
