As winter approaches, it becomes more expedient to look fabulous. Apart from layering clothes and going out in Adidas shoes, your makeup and accessories just have to be on point. This is why we’ve come up with certain tips to help you out.

Keep makeup on a minimal

Generally, it’s always advisable for you to keep makeup low and apply just ample makeup during the winter.

Why?

Everywhere is usually dry and there’s a lot of aridity in the air. If you go out with too much makeup on, you’ll end up sweating excessively and that could lead to the entire makeup washing off. As much as possible, try to only apply enough makeup to cover your blemishes and leave your skin looking flawless. If you go over the top, you might not enjoy yourself for much of the day

Always accessorize with bright colors

If most of the clothes in your closet are made of neutral colors (by neutral colors, I mean colors like black, navy blue, camel, or gray), feel free to add some energy to your ensile by putting on more boldly hued shoes and bags. Take colors like red and yellow, and you should be more than fine. Bright colors are not only more versatile, they also add a feeling of diversification to your outfit. If you’re feeling particularly daring, you can also wear a neutral base and add shoes and bags that come in complementary colors.

Refrain from the humdrum color combinations and embrace some color.

Keep your hair rolled

Depending on where you’re going, try as much as possible to keep your hair rolled up as much as you can. To guard against unpredictable winds, make sure you have your hair tightly rolled into a cute bun and you’ll be just fine.

Never go out without taking your hair brush along

While we understand that it might not be possible for you to have your hair rolled in certain scenarios (I mean, a lady with rolled hair and evening dresses). If you’re in such a situation this tip is for you.

During the winter, the weather becomes a tad unreadable. The wind can break out at any time, and it’ll be a pretty big shame if it does while you’re out with long hair. Your hair gets all messed up and you end up looking like you just wrestled a lion. To avoid this, be prepared and just put a brush in your bag. That way, you’ll be able to quickly adjust yourself even if you get caught by wind.

Go big on powder

No matter what, you’ll definitely need to perfect your powder game this winter period. While you might need to dumb it down a little bit on makeup generally, powder is one necessity that you just can’t escape.

Get more lotion on

The cold will definitely be harsh on your skin. To avoid your skin breaking or tearing up, apply enough lotion to keep it hydrated. The same goes for your lips, although you’ll need more of shea butter and lip gloss for that.
