Ste. Anne’s Inn & Spa
Spa Review
Imagine a castle nestled in the woods with a view of the countryside as far as the eye can see. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens, pristine landscaping and hidden sanctuaries. This is exactly what you will find at Ste. Anne’s Spa. It is truly a storybook backdrop with a fairy tale experience waiting for you. The Inn is located in Grafton Ontario, between Toronto and Ottawa, the perfect stop or getaway just off of Highway 401. It is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic stay or a peaceful experience with a group of friends.
The beautiful castle is on a quiet rural hillside, and boasts regal décor with antique artefacts displayed throughout the spa. It provides a true representation of an escape to the British countryside, including high tea!
Ste. Anne’s Inn and Spa offers full day and full weekend packages that include your choice of wellness classes, spa services, treatments, full access to hot tubs and pools, massage chairs, and steam rooms. They also have plenty of areas to relax and enjoy lounging, while you sip a warm beverage. Meals such as lunch and tea time are provided with these packages, and trust me, you will not go hungry. The food is five star quality and made with local ingredients with gluten free and vegan options. You can also stay overnight at their beautiful inn, a true luxury hotel experience.
One of Ste. Anne’s unique features includes their very own bakery. All of their delicious items are gluten free and made with locally grown ingredients. All products are handmade in their kitchen, which is right on the Spa’s premises. I was able to enjoy a bakery demonstration where I helped staff make their famous butter tarts that have won many awards in various competitions. You can indulge in one of these delectable desserts, macarons, granola, breads, meats, cheese, jams and cookies. You can go on a bakery demonstration as part of your package and take some treats home with you.
Treatment and spa services offered include massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, reflexology, scalp treatments, yoga classes, Reiki, and body wraps. They also have special seasonal treatments for those that are feeling festive.
A cold pool sits along the countryside, meters away from the castle with beautiful views of the historical site itself. There are also outdoor hot tubs and cold pools surrounded by private stone walls that guests can enjoy at any time of the year. After taking a dip in the pool or hot tub, each visitor can enjoy the eucalyptus steam room, which is steps away from the quiet room that is surrounded by bay windows and massage chairs. The views from all of these amenities are impeccable.
