For Autumn Winter 2017 Rejina Pyo has designed a collection with the modern woman in mind. Throughout her pregnancy, Rejina has reflected on a woman’s life and her many roles – mother, wife, friend, daughter and herself as her own person. In preparing for the birth of her first child, she has begun to look for the balance and equilibrium in all aspects of life, and has drawn inspiration from this for AW17; the balance between light and dark, soft and hard, excitement and stillness.
A unique colour and fabric mix has been explored this season. A vibrant palate of citrus silk, fuchsia and pale pink crushed velvet breathes life into the collection with flashes of earth tones in rich orange corduroy and khaki cottons providing an interesting contrast.

Various moods and occasions have been explored and Rejina once again understands what a woman’s wardrobe requires. The balance of casual daywear and eveningwear is met with statement party dresses to oversized wool coats and wide-leg denims. Pouf-sleeve dresses and tops in shades of magenta pink, citrus and crisp white sit next to staple outerwear featuring individually hand carved horn buttons and romantic dresses with frilled detailing. The signature Kate coat has been updated in sky blue, oatmeal and brick red.
Modern practicality also factors in with shirts that can be worn back-to-front, plackets which can be buttoned down or left open and an abundance of drawstring ties to be adjusted as required. Dresses are playfully designed to be worn on or off the shoulder allowing the wearer to alter her silhouette.
The AW17 collection also extends to footwear in collaboration with Korean brand, Yuul Yie. Brushed suede loafers and block-heel pumps are reissued in muted tones of chestnut and rose.
