Bedtime Rituals For Better Skin

You had a long day and all you want to do is to play some Candy Crush before you fall asleep. There are two mistakes you are making: using your phone right before you sleep and not healing your skin after the long day you had.
Well, if you need to know why you should not be using your phone before you sleep, Google it! There are countless of studies on it. But I am here to give you some idea on how to treat your skin better for a luminous glow the next day! It may be time consuming and I assure you, it is worth the effort.
1. Use a Toner

A toner helps to remove dirt from your skin. The right way to do it is to apply it in a soft cotton pad then swipe is gently from the top of your head to the bottom is a downward motion. This is so that the micro facial hairs that trap the dirt on its surface would have it removed. If applied in a bottom-up motion, the dirt would get into the pores of your skin.
Be gentle and do not drag your skin roughly downwards to prevent premature sagging.
2. Soak a Cotton Pad in Facial Essence

With serums, moisturisers and ampules, it is hard to keep track of which ones your skin would need. Depending on your skin type (you need to do a bit of research), you may require the use of essence. What it does is provide an extra layer of hydration for the skin and are generally more lightweight than serums.
Of course these days, both serums and essences can be interchangeable. Once a week, to cure dark circles real quick, I place a soaked cotton pad in essence under my eyes. Then tap the excess into the skin after 10 minutes.
3. Skin Icing

As it suggests, it is rubbing ice on your skin. Do this once a week to tighten the skin. Avoid sensitive areas like your eyes. Dab the water dropets off your face with a towel. Best to use one with micro fibres to avoid premature wrinkling of the skin.
