Did you know that Calgary is quickly becoming Canada's new trendy destination? This vibrant city, located in the province of Alberta, features excellent shopping and dining scene, countless art galleries, inspiring architecture and interior design, super friendly locals, and contagious energy.
FASHION SCENE
As we discovered during our trip last year, Calgary has a lot to offer when it comes to fashion and design. Local boutiques such as Concept Shop, run by a passionate and charismatic designer Lauren Bagliore, Adorn Boutique or LEO offer unique designs and unforgettable shopping experience. The CORE, Calgary's only urban retail destination, is one of the most impressive department stores in Canada. Its modern design and innovative indoor/outdoor concept is a great example of how modern architecture can create a better urban experience. To find out more about shopping in Calgary, click here.
BOUTIQUE HOTELS
Hotel Arts and Kensington Riverside Inn feature luxury accommodation and chic contemporary design. Both properties belong to the same hotel group and are located in very attractive parts of the city (downtown Calgary and Kensington Village). It is hard to decide which hotel is better as both of them have exceptional customer service, home-away-from-home atmosphere, and something unique to offer.
