Are you ready for more fashion news from Taipei?

After a blast of fashion energy during the first two days of Taipei IN Style, third day of the event was all about slow, natural living and minimalist designs.

The collections showed on the runway included ZIHAN from Hangzhou (China), TRAVELER, the leading Taiwanese brand for leisure and travel attire, YEN LINE, a unique mix of Taiwanese and Parisian aesthetics, AUSTIN. W, emerging Taiwanese designer with a very distinctive style, and AROMA, young and funky brand from Shanghai.

Trend alert: Cute hair accessories and mid-calf dresses are the fashion staple for Spring/Summer 2016!

AUSTIN. W, an up-and-coming Taiwanese designer, established his brand in 2011. Featuring futuristic shapes and eye-catching textures, the collection showcased at Taipei IN Style was definitely one of the highlights of the day.

TRAVELER presented colourful, funky designs proving that winter can be fun! Short skirts and long boots complemented double-sided waterproof jackets. Must-have accessories included stylish hats and aviator sunglasses.

Digital prints and local elements showcasing Taiwan’s beautiful scenery and multicultural history were incorporated into most of the designs and made the collection look fresh and unique.

Off-the-shoulder tops and trendy culottes could be seen at AROMA show. Various combinations of black & white paired up with solid colours such as red and black proved to be a winning idea. The collection was versatile and fun.

“Take” represents the common way of thinking of the post-90s “me generation” which is often thought of being self-centered — and yet remains bold and unafraid of expressing themselves and maintaining a balance between their desires and creativity. “Give” means to give to the world, symbolizing that while the younger generation has a strong personality, they still have the proper attitude of a member of society: eager to share and willing to make a contribution to the world. - Taipei In Style
