Olivia Palermo's style is a source of fascination and awe for many fashionistas. The socialite made her first TV debut on the reality show, The City (which also stars celebrity designer Whitney Port), and now she graces the fashion pages with her drool-worthy outfits.

If there's anyone who has gone the urban chic look down pat, it's Olivia, with her trademark tote bags and wayfarers. Before you shop for Olivia Palermo's style, here are her five best looks with a tote bag:

1. With leather pants

This all-black look may not work as well in Singapore's balmy weather as it does in NYC, but the bottomline is clear: sleek lines. From the skinny leather pants, wayfarers, slicked back top-knot, pointed pumps that add a pop of colour, and the leather-accented Givenchy Antigona tote bag, this is a work-appropriate look.

2. With a varsity jacket

I am IN LOVE with this outfit. How impossibly chic Olivia managed to make a varsity jacket by teaming it with a grey Anya Hindmarch tote bag, a Milly Chevron leather mini skirt and French Sole Henrietta leopard print flats. The colour blocked jacket from Hive & Honey tones down the severity of the black blouse and leather skirt, while the flats add a hint of fun to the outfit, and the classic tote anchors the look. Outfit genius, no?

3. With a maxi skirt

Seldom seen in loose flowy pieces, Olivia atypically channels Bohemian charm here in a striped ochre crew-necked top, floral maxi skirt and black flats, topping off the look with a tan tote bag from Zara. The effect is sweet and personable.

Olivia Palermo attended the Vivienne Westwood after-party during London Fashion Week in an eye-catching Emporio Armani jacket adorned with Mongolian lamb's wool. Her vivid yellow top underneath, bold floral-print pants and leopard-print pumps are toned down with a creamy tan leather tote from Meli Melo. Perfect after-party outfit, I'd say.

5. With a military jacket

Olivia does off-duty chic here with a military jacket thrown over a basic white tank top and skinny jeans. The shape and colour of her leather tote bag makes the look sophisticated and pulled together despite the slouchiness of the jacket.
