Hong Kong, November 2015 - After a hugely successful first outing during last months Shanghai Fashion Week The HUB announced that it will take place next season from 16th to 18th March, the week after Paris Fashion Week, as the organisers look to work with other events and organisations in China's most influential fashion city to make Shanghai the next leg on the international fashion circuit. The HUB’s growing reputation as a credible trade event in Asia is garnering additional financial support for exhibitors from the Korean and French governments in addition to continued support from the UK government via UKFT as they look to further expand business relationships with China.

The HUB will return to Central Studios in the city's Xintiandi district and will host up to 50 international exhibitors as well as a selection of the best Chinese designers. With an ethos of quality over quantity, as opposed to many other events in the region, The HUB extends invitations to the growing network of multi-label retailers in mainland China as well as the more established buyers and distributors from the region.

Richard Hobbs, co-founder of The HUB said “The move from Hong Kong to Shanghai was something we knew had to happen at some point with the evolution of The HUB and the massive potential of the Chinese market. Moving when we did turned out to be perfect timing and we could not have been happier with the results. We are definitely the “international” event in Shanghai and look after our exhibitors and visitors while maintaining an open and transparent platform to do business in this influential city.”

To quote a few of the participants in the last edition :

“The HUB was the brand’s first showing outside Europe and the response has been tremendous. We have had detailed discussions with potential partners from Beijing, Shanghai, Japan and Hong Kong and see a very bright future indeed for our luxury shoes in China.”
Helen Duvall, Managing Director, Jack Moran footwear, UK

“China is totally new to us, but very interesting and we see good potential here. Physically being here and having face-to-face meetings is absolutely indispensable.”
Charlotte Hunt, Head of Sales and Marketing, Chrysalis Clothes, UK

“This was our first time taking part in The Hub Shanghai. Our brand was very well received and we were delighted with the quality of contacts and are currently in talks with a high value distributor. The show organisers were very helpful and knowledgeable and assisted us greatly.”
Susie Francis, Dierctor, LUXE DELUXE, Australia

“The HUB has curated an excellent selection of interesting brands that is in line with what our diverse customer base looks for within ASOS.”
