THE MAKEUP SHOW WEEK RINGS IN ITS TENTH ANNIVERSARY

Top makeup artists mingled with 7,000 attendees, over 85 beauty brands and 50 speakers at Metropolitan Pavilion on May 3rd and 4th, and throughout New York City from April 29th to May 5th.
NEW YORK, NY (May 2015) – The Makeup Show NYC, which continues to be the largest pro-driven beauty event in the world, was held on Sunday, May 3rd and Monday, May 4th at Metropolitan Pavilion in downtown New York City. Now in its 10th year, The Makeup Show NYC celebrated its first decade by bringing inspiration, education and opportunity to over 7,000 attendees at the first-ever The Makeup Show Week. Participants, who came from all professional corners of the beauty industry, were able to shop for products from over 85 different brands, get tips from nearly 50 different inspirational keynote speakers and seminars, attend hands-on workshops and also several different first-time events for The Makeup Show’s 10th Anniversary including the sold-out The Makeup Show Gala and first-ever Beauty Tour.
Beauty professionals from all over the world, including retailers, buyers, editors and bloggers, packed the city to become part of an inspirational week filled with opportunities to build relationships with some of the industry’s biggest players.

The Makeup Show NYC Highlights
The Makeup Show NYC featured over 85 top beauty brands including: Diamond Sponsor MAKE UP FOR EVER, Platinum Sponsors Crown Brush and Temptu PRO, Silver Sponsors NARS and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, Supporting Sponsors Smashbox, Alcone and INGLOT Cosmetics, School Sponsor MAKEUP FOREVER Academy, and Contributing Sponsors Pinnacle Cosmetics, Bdellium Tools, Stila, and Glamcortec. Other brands included MAC Cosmetics, Kevyn Aucoin, and BlackUp, (which many attendees were able to purchase for the first time in the United States), just to name a few.
The Makeup Show NYC kicked off on the evening of Friday, May 1st with the first ever The Makeup Show Gala, an exclusive night held at Metropolitan West, which offered 300 guests a stimulating evening of conversation, dinner, drinks and dancing, An award ceremony was held at the Gala, and two awards were given to industry icons: James Vincent, makeup artist, educator and mentor for his years of dedication and support, and Maurice Stein, legendary makeup artist, leader, educator and business owner. The evening also offered the opportunity for attendees to preview The Makeup Show Icon Gallery: Ten Years in the Making, a gallery featuring work from some of The Makeup Show’s top artists and brands.

The Makeup Show NYC featured a rare lineup of keynote speakers by top celebrity makeup artists from around the world. A few in attendance included Dany Sanz, Ellis Faas, David Klasfeld, and Billy B. Each of these artists shared their secrets to success and techniques in inspiring keynotes and demonstrations.
The Makeup Show NYC brought show attendees Hands On Workshops. Every one of these workshops sold-out and allowed a limited number of dedicated artists to be a part of intense learning with some of the largest names in the industry including Orlando Santiago, Daven Mayeda, Danessa Myricks, and David Hernandez, who spoke on topics from social media techniques for building your business to creating a signature style that stands out in the industry.
10 top beauty brands collaborated with The Makeup Show NYC to launch exclusive products for the shows 10th Anniversary. Attendees were amongst the first to try out and purchase exclusive products from MAKE UP FOR EVER, I Make You Beautiful, INGLOT, Mehron, Auraline Beauty, TEMPTU, London Brush Company, Pinnacle Cosmetics, and Crown Brush.
The Makeup Show Week went out with a bang, finishing up with the first ever Beauty Tour NYC. Guests of the beauty tour were able to tour the city by bus with James Vincent, stopping to sip champagne at some of his favorite inspirational New York City spots, such as INGLOT Studio at Chelsea Market, Patricia Fields, and MAKE UP FOR EVER’s 12th Street boutique, where attendees had the opportunity to mingle with both The Makeup Show’s Pro Team and MAKE UP FOR EVER’s Dany Sanz herself.
