LUSAKA, ZAMBIA - Lilayi Lodge is a wonderful sanctuary located only a short drive from Lusaka city centre. 12 trendy chalets, large swimming pool, fine dining, safari game drives, bush walks, and an Elephant Nursery - that's what attracts both international and local tourists here.
"Established in 1988 and enveloped in rich cultural history, the game farm consists of a 650 hectare plot of land situated within the Miller Lilayi Farm. As a family owned business, Lilayi has belonged to the Miller family for over 100 years, which has seen the original farmhouse registered as a Zambian Heritage House in 1996." - Lilayi
In December 2014, Fashion Studio Magazine spent one night at Lilayi and we have to admit it is definitely one of the best lodges in Lusaka!

RESTAURANT
Dining at Lilayi's restaurant is a real pleasure for the senses. Using only garden-fresh products and blending African fusion with contemporary cuisine, the in-house chef creates a truly unique dining experience.
You can choose an elegant table inside and admire impressive local sculptures or opt for a more relaxed atmosphere on the terrace. Lilayi's restaurant is known for great food and Lusaka residents often come here for lunch or dinner.
It is also worth mentioning that the restaurant has its own wine cellar and offers an extensive wine selection. Highly recommended!
"Members of the exclusive Wine Club will be given the opportunity to attend regular wine tastings with guest speakers, as well as food and wine paired dinners. The Lilayi Vintners are dedicated to making Lilayi the place where people can come to express their passion and interests, as well as interact with others who share a love for the culture of wine." - Lilayi

ABOUT LUSAKA
The capital and largest city of Zambia, Lusaka, is one of the fastest-developing cities in Southern Africa.
Although Zambia lies within the tropics, the climate is tempered by its high altitude. There are three main seasons: Cool and Dry from May to August, Hot and Dry from September to October, Warm and Wet from November to April. Average midday temperatures vary from a maximum of 31°C (88 F) in October to a minimum of 10°C (50 F) in June. Even during the hottest months, the nights in Lusaka are always cool and pleasant.
Main tourist attractions in Lusaka include: Munda Wanga Environmental Park, Kalimba Reptile Park, Kabwata Cultural Village, Sunday Market at the Arcades Shopping Centre, Manda Hill, Levy Junction, and newly established EastPark Mall. There are several good restaurants, bars, cinemas, local markets, and hair & beauty salons across the city.
Lilayi Lodge is situated on the outskirts of Lusaka, about 15 km south of the centre, and only 45 minutes drive from the international airport.
