LONDON, UK - Pure London has confirmed that a menswear section will be introduced to the show for August 2015, showcasing men’s apparel, footwear and accessories for Spring Summer 16.

The decision to launch Pure Menswear follows extensive qualitative and quantitive research carried out by Top Right Group, which found brands and buyers alike to have an extremely positive response towards the prospect of a menswear addition to the show.

As a fast-growing sector that has outperformed the growth of womenswear in recent years, the men’s clothing market is opening up new opportunities for all clothing retailers, with nearly 20% of Pure London’s existing clientbase already stocking menswear brands.

The transactional trade show aims to fill a clearly defined gap in the European market by bringing men’s and womensear brands together under one roof; it will be a one-stop destination for retailers to seek out premium, edited brands at a Central London buying event.

In addition to the dedicated section, existing brands and agencies at Pure London will be encouraged to showcase their product as a lifestyle brand, with a full collection of menswear, womenswear and unisex clothing. This will provide crossover womenswear boutiques and retailers seeking complementary menswear brands with inspiration and an ease of purchase.

Pure London is currently in discussions with British and international menswear brands ahead of the launch, including White Stuff, Asger Juel Larsen, Ontour, Still Good and Rolling People Showroom. Simon Dowling of White Stuff said; “We are discussing the exciting opportunity of being able to showcase the full extent of our brand under one roof with Pure London in August.”

Lenny Power of Rolling People Showroom added; “Adam Gough [New Business and Account Manager at i2i Events Group] introduced us to a store at Pure London that we would not normally have been in touch with; we met them at our showroom after the event and they ended up taking two brands on board with orders in excess of 10,000 Euros, which was great! We look forward to meeting new buyers at Pure London in August.”

Following the launch, the show has a strong vision in place for Pure Menswear over the succeeding years. Lucy Walsh, Commercial Director at i2i Events Group, commented; “There is a real gap in the market for a London exhibition to showcase the best of both menswear and womenswear under one roof. We have been asked to do this and are responding enthusiastically to the request. It’s a very exciting time and we already have some great brands lining up for the launch.”
