MONTREAL - Last week Fashion Studio Magazine had a pleasure to attend Fashion & Design Festival (FDF), a grand annual celebration of creativity in downtown Montreal. An authentic platform of fashion, design, music and shopping trends, this unique event was created and produced by Groupe Sensation Mode, the biggest of its kind in North America.
The idea of bringing fashion to the public and making it available to everyone is not only innovative, but what's more important, it really works! Holding the FDF in the Quartier des Spectacles for the first time this year, was a real sign of recognition for the festival and proved the importance of fashion and design in the city.

Special FDF event 'Fashion on the Rocks', one of the definite highlights of this year's festival, took place on Friday night at Casino de Montréal Runway, place des Festivals.
The show, styled by Andrew McNally, was created in collaboration with an international producer Greenland and featured the most electrifying trends of the season to the rhythm of a musical performance. Strong looks, vibrant colours and distinctive textures dominated the runway and kept the audience entertained throughout the evening.
Our favourite looks included purple faux fur jacket paired up with skinny jeans (see above) and several sport luxe items that were chic and effortless at the same time. All in all, great show!
