debuts in Hong Kong trade show The HUB!

Hong Kong - 22nd May 2014: Asia's leading fashion trade show, Hong Kong-based The HUB announces a strategic partnership with the China Fashion Forum (CFF). The move signifies the Chinese government's desire to integrate with the international fashion market and transform its own fashion industry into a global powerhouse. The fashion forum will be hosted on August 27-28, 2014 at The HUB. This is the first time CFF, an organization with close ties to all central and regional level government fashion and textile associations in China will host an event outside of Mainland China.
The CFF is China's most prestigious and influential fashion seminar, with international speakers such as critically-acclaimed designer Yohji Yamamoto and domestic speakers such as Hong Huang, Publisher of iLook Magazine. The event offers an unparalleled opportunity to influence the agenda of the relevant Chinese authorities and engage with fashion industry titans in the world's most exciting fashion market.

The partnership between the two parties shows how pivotal The HUB and Hong Kong are as a bridge between international brands and the Chinese fashion market. The conference will focus on bilateral communication, helping Chinese fashion labels understand the importance of aesthetics, commerce and culture in developing successful businesses. Slated speakers include Septwolves General Manager Zhou Shaoming, Evisu China President Zhao Junhao, Eachway Founder Zhou Sheng, and Li Yu, General Manager of Mixmind. Cumulatively, this group operate over 20,000 retail stores in mainland China, and are some of China’s most popular brands. Media partners will include CCTV, China Textile News, Phoenix Fashion Channel, Sina Fashion Channel, and Modern Media.

Both The HUB and China Fashion Forum will also be available to make introductions and supply interpreters to visitors of the show. The aim ultimately is to facilitate meetings between international brands who looking to expand into the China market, and Chinese business excited to engage with the West.
