To the Groove of World MasterCard Fashion Week
TORONTO - Where there is creativity, there is music. The two, most notably, go hand in hand. A specific tune can harvest your imagination, a certain lyric can spark direction, and a particular song can make your point. That is why music is crucial to fashion shows. Collections are a designer’s story and every story needs a suitable song to be their soundtrack.
Sitting through all of World MasterCard Fashion Week, the music set the scene, kept the attention, and closed the shows. Here is a playlist of what I heard (at least the songs I was able to identify via the app Shazam) and the playlist that is now the soundtrack to my life:
