Where Comfort Meets Style

OTTAWA - Hotel Indigo, part of InterContinental Hotels Group, is a fashionable boutique hotel in downtown Ottawa, offering a refreshing, inviting atmosphere and an eclectic mix of traditional and modern design.

Located in a century-old red brick building, Hotel Indigo incorporates cuisine, décor and inspiration from its neighbourhood. With a little help from the hotel's friendly staff, you can now experience Canada’s capital city like a longtime resident!

Not many people know that Ottawa is actually a lively, hip and stylish city - but just like everywhere else, you need to know the right addresses. The city has a lot of young and fun cafés, nightclubs, and some really great restaurants offering international cuisine - Italian, Lebanese, Asian, and South American just to name a few. You can also find here a large selection of art galleries, fantastic spas, beauty salons, and shopping centres.

DESIGN CONCEPT

Based on the timeless proportion known as the Golden Mean (also known by the Greek letter Phi) the design and décor of Hotel Indigo creates a warm welcoming environment.

If you pay attention to details, you will easily spot certain symbols and design elements throughout the hotel. The nautilus shell is the epitome of perfect proportion and natural beauty. The pineapple fruit is the symbol for hospitality. The pine cone symbolizes regeneration and renewal. The colour blue creates a sense of belonging, depth of feeling and relaxes sensibilities. It soothes the mind, reduces blood pressure and heartbeat, creating a feeling of tranquility and contentment. The sense of high peace allows you to offset the high pace of travel.

Renewal is the soul of Hotel Indigo’s retail-inspired design concept - thoughtful changes that are made throughout the year to keep the hotel fresh, similar to the way retailers change their window displays.
