PARIS - The Pullman network consists of over 80 hotels, located in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East in major cities and prime tourist destinations. In July 2013, I had a pleasure to visit Pullman Paris Montparnasse and to my surprise - this business hotel was more fashionable than I thought it would be.

The 957 room skyscraper hotel, one of the largest in Paris, is located near the Gare Montparnasse in the 14th arrondissement of Paris. The boutiques and cafes of Saint-Germain-des-Prés are an easy stroll away making it a perfect destination for your shopping trip.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Juliette Peron, Quality & Attitude Manager, who gave me a tour of the hotel and patiently answered all my questions. We talked about her experiences in the hospitality industry, favourite shopping places in Paris, and the future plans for the hotel. I had a chance to try a cup of delicious coffee served at Café Atlantic and find out a lot of interesting things about Pullman Hotels.

COMFORT & STYLE

The Pullman Paris Montparnasse has been recently renovated by French architect and interior designer Didier Rey. All rooms have modern decor and a relaxing neutral colour scheme with a few solid-coloured accents such as bright red armchairs. The rooms feature superbly comfortable bedding, blackout curtains, wide working desk, 24-hour room service, 42" flat-screen TVs (46" TVs in the suites) and panoramic views over Paris.

There is a mini bar with free soft drinks and a Nespresso coffee machine available in all rooms. To view dining options available at the hotel, please click here.

Pullman hotels feature Roger&Gallet's Bois d'Orange bath and skincare products. There is a magnifying make-up mirror and lots of space around the sink which I found really convenient. Separate toilet area features a stylish white and beige wallpaper.

TECHNOLOGY

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available everywhere in the hotel.

"In Pullman hotels, connectivity is no longer limited to specific areas; it is a fully-fledged concept, a high-speed, mobile, intuitive and safe digital experience that is both enjoyable and efficient. The concept is available throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the swimming pool." - Accor Hotels
