Singapore, August 2013 – Inspired by the Stockholm City Library – an extraordinary building created by legendary architect Erik Gunnar Asplund, J.Lindeberg presents the AW13 Men’s Collection – fusing modern details with elements of traditional tailoring for a look that is rooted in modernity.
This season sees structured shapes, colours and patterns take direct reference from the architectural elements, inspired by a staircase or exquisite windows found within the library. Sculptured and fitted tailoring in J.Lindeberg’s progressive spirit is paired with a new slightly oversized silhouette with dropped shoulders and A-line shape, executed in a variation of exclusive and ultra-rich qualities.
Flexibility and multi-purpose details such as the rainproof tailored suit and coat, the fur lined parka and the down filled quilted padded nylon blazers and trousers, are created to match the modern need of performance wear, merged with a fashionable look according to the J.Lindeberg mantra – bridging fashion and function.

Quilting, mouliné and bouclé textures as well as subtle camouflage patterns create unexpected surfaces and three dimensional volumes throughout the collection from outerwear to knits. Classical leather jackets takes on a new look with sculptural seams and nylon details.
Felted knit intarsia and soft padded jersey is used in hybrid outerwear with wind breaking stretch nylon linings – combining the soft feel of a cardigan with the use of a blazer or a jacket.
“We are constantly in search of the best qualities, for flexibility and wearability – For the AW13 MBFW Show I’m proud to present an intimate collection with an exclusive selection of the best J.Lindeberg has to offer. Genuine garments made with care and an eye for detail - from the inside to the outside”, says Jessy Heuvelink, Head Designer.

The colour palette is formed around the rich colours found within the interior of the library. “Library” greens; inspired by the traditional library desk lamps, are contrasted by intense burgundy, deep plum tones and saturated reds. Intense blues and midnight navy complete the colour spectrum with reference to the dark library interior, accompanied with flashes of gold and silver through metal detailing and hardware. Grey melanges and nude winter creamy whites form the complimentary base colours.
True to tradition and craftsmanship, yet on the absolute forefront on future developments, J.Lindeberg delivers accessible luxury and timeless sophistication.
