AUDI FASHION FESTIVAL 2013: Day 5

SINGAPORE - Bringing his signature conceptual designs, British-Turkish designer, Hussein Chalayan closed Audi Fashion Festival 2013. His Autumn/Winter 2013 collection presented in Singapore featured strong, futuristic designs that were both innovative and wearable. The highlights of the show were the 'Transformer Dresses' - convertible gowns that were unleashed down the runway.

Chalayan's show was the perfect end to five days of fabulous fashion. The designer received the "Fashion Visionary Award" for his 20 years of Design Excellence. 


ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Fully established at the forefront of contemporary fashion design, the twice named British Designer of the Year, Hussein Chalayan is renowned for his innovative use of materials, meticulous pattern cutting and progressive attitudes towards new technology. His works have extended beyond fashion and made their way into exhibitions at renowned galleries and museums such as Tate Modern, Victoria & Albert Museum, and many more in Tokyo, Berlin and New York. Today, Hussein Chalayan is also the creative director of PUMA and has collaborated with the sportswear brand on their Black Label.
