KRAKÓW, POLAND - During the recent Cracow Fashion Awards 2013, we had a chance to see 60 young designers, graduates of the Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design.

Among many interesting collections and creative ideas seen on the catwalk, we selected five exceptional designers whose work really stood out. These young people have a great chance to achieve a lot in the fashion industry if they are persistent enough, continue to work hard, and don't lose their individuality. Have a look at our selection below and make sure you remember their names.

1. ANNA OBODYŃSKA - ASTROBIOLOGY

Anna Obodyńska presented a simple and elegant collection inspired by "unknown life forms in other galaxies". The young designer created her own patterns and accessories. Well done!

2. DOMINKA MACIEJOWSKA - ANIMAL INSTINCT

We loved absolutely everything about this collection: geometric shapes, colour combinations, unique handbags, and Asian-inspired footwear. The designs really stood out on the catwalk and proved that creativity and courage go a long way.

3. KATARZYNA CIEJEK - EGO

"Ego" by Katarzyna Ciejek featured minimalistic all-white skirts, dresses, coats, and jackets. Gentle shades of white contrasted with strong metal elements. Great collection!

4. KATARZYNA ZIĘBA - LALKA Z BIAŁEJ PORCELANY

Katarzyna Zięba showed a beautiful collection inspired by childhood memories. Pastel and white dresses combined with black jackets, hats, and flower accessories, created a soft and girly look. The collection reminded us of the "living doll fashion" which is very popular in Asian countries, especially Japan and Korea.

5. KWIATOSŁAWA DEPRET - FASHION ANATOMIC

An interesting collection by Kwiatosława Depret featured unique designs and accessories inspired by human anatomy. Some items had surprising details at the back, others combined simple geometric lines with creative patterns. We can't wait to see the next collection by this talented designer.

  4. Few, quite good collections. Poor events organization and most of models was inadequate for this kind of international event.

    1. Let's hope the event will be better organised next year. Krakow has a great potential. They should definitely change the venue - for something bigger, more stylish, and located in the city centre! :)
