ITALY - This year the Vogue Fashion's Night Out, will take place in Florence for the first time after Milan and Rome. This event will be a new opportunity to show the side of the city that’s involved with fashion and lifestyle as said the Mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi, during the press conference to launch the new stage in Vogue Fashion's Night Out.

Shops will stay open at night until 11:30 pm and amid the exclusive products created just for this event, meetings with designers, artistic events and initiatives developed by Lavazza and Campari (both sponsors of the 2012 event), there will be, as ever, a chance to do something for charity. This year the proceeds from sales of VFNO products will go to help victims of the Emilia earthquakes.

“This is a critical moment for economy and the fashion business has been affected as well,” said Vogue Italia’s editor in chief, Franca Sozzani, “Through Fashion’s Night Out, we have the opportunity to increase customer flow though the stores, which are currently suffering a lot.”

In addition, another charity project will be launched that night. Lavazza will present a limited edition of sustainable coffee boxes decorated by a number of fashion brands, including Marni, Roberto Cavalli, Missoni, Etro, Versace and Moschino, that will benefit the United Nations-backed Fashion 4 Development program, of which Sozzani is an ambassador.
