London, UK - International style icon Dita Von Teese will launch her eponymous fragrance exclusively at Liberty on 1st May. A name synonymous with seduction, style and burlesque, Dita wanted her first perfume to evoke glamour, elegance, and self-confident sensuality.
Dita will be in Liberty store (Regent Street, London W1B 5AH) to celebrate the launch on Tuesday 1st May 10am-midday. Customers will have the chance to have their perfume bottles signed! Find Dita in Liberty's fragrance hall on the ground floor.

London, UK - The Design Museum presents the first UK retrospective of iconic French shoe designer Christian Louboutin, celebrating a career which has pushed the boundaries of high fashion shoe design.
Louboutin’s exquisite shoes, with their instantly recognisable glossy red soles, are a unique fusion of fashion, craftsmanship, engineering and sculpture. This exhibition celebrates Louboutin’s career to date and showcases twenty years of designs and inspiration, revealing the artistry and theatricality of his shoe design from stilettos to lace-up boots, studded sneakers and bejewelled pumps. Louboutin’s shoes are the epitome of style, glamour, power, femininity and elegance.
Drawing from Christian Louboutin’s personal archive, the exhibition presents his celebrated shoe designs, referencing the origins of the iconic red sole, through to the latest Louboutin collections including a range for men and desirable handbags.

London, UK - The BFC Colleges Council Graduate Preview Day gives industry professionals an opportunity to assess the talent due to emerge from the UK’s top fashion colleges as well as to foster relationships between graduates and the industry.
Since its inception in 1993, the Graduate Preview day has proved very popular with designers, manufacturers, retailers and members of the press. Last year, the event attracted a range of industry professionals including representatives from international and UK press and buyers including Vogue Italia, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire, Evening Standard, Max Mara, Matches, Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Browns, Topshop and Warehouse.

Singapore - The Asia Fashion Summit, organized by Textile & Fashion Federation (Singapore), is a premier business conference that creates knowledge, provides insights and shares expert views on fashion topics that are important to fashion industry professionals in Asia. Themed Engaging the Asian Fashion Consumer, the 2012 summit will feature more than 30 speakers and panellists. The summit will be held at Singapore’s Raffles City Convention Centre from 15th to 17th May.
Returning for its third year, Asia Fashion Summit (AFS) will focus on how winning brands can leverage lifestyle retailing as well as use technology and digital media to engage consumers for the long term. Last year, AFS documented the Rise of Asian Consumerism and examined ways to gain the attention of the increasingly important market. This year’s summit extends on the theme and spotlights what businesses need to do to continually attract, keep and grow consumer wallet share. With presentations, interactive panel discussions and small group workshops, the three‐day event will help retailers, fashion buyers, fashion entrepreneurs and designers attract and engage the increasingly important Asian fashion consumer.

London, UK - From spring 2012 the Victoria and Albert Museum celebrates the opening of the newly renovated Fashion Galleries with an exhibition of beautiful ballgowns, red carpet evening dresses and catwalk showstoppers. Displayed over two floors, Ballgowns: British Glamour Since 1950 will feature more than sixty designs for social events such as private parties, royal balls, state occasions and opening nights.
The exhibition will cover over sixty years of a strong British design tradition that continues to flourish. Eveningwear from the V&A’s vast collection, by designers including Victor Stiebel, Zandra Rhodes, Jonathan Saunders and Hussein Chalayan, will be on show alongside dresses fresh from the catwalk shows of Alexander McQueen, Giles Deacon, Erdem and Jenny Packham.

London, UK - The Getty Images Gallery is excited to announce its latest exhibition, Marilyn, a collection of imagery and memorabilia to commemorate 50 years since the untimely death of Marilyn Monroe. Showcased in London for the first time, the exhibition will feature a number of original dresses and costumes worn by the Hollywood icon, alongside unique and iconic photographs.
Marilyn will include imagery from Monroe's early years as an aspiring actress through to her rise to international stardom. Accompanying the photographs will be original film costumes and dresses from the legendary collection of David Gainsborough Roberts, owner of one of the largest collections of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia in the world. Original video will also be shown ensuring Marilyn offers an unrivalled glimpse into the life of one of the world's most famous stars.
