VANCOUVER FASHION WEEK is a semi-annual event that is has been acclaimed as the West Coast's most prestigious industry event. We thrive on inviting the most creative and dynamic talent and feature established emerging designers.
Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is a one-of-a-kind event that continuously brings together buyers, media, celebrities, industry professionals and innovative designers from around the world to celebrate creativity and fashion.Diversity and multiculturalism are VFW's core values. This semi-annual event has been host to a range of collections from street wear to eco-friendly garments.
Now celebrating its 10th year, VFW has established itself as a highly successful and widely recognized event providing a forum to nurture and celebrate the fashion industry. In recent years, VFW has featured internationally acclaimed designers such as Versace, Anna Sui, Lauren Vidal, Kersh, Helen Lee and Ha Sang Beg in addition to emerging designers such as Pauline van Dongen.
"Vancouver is a metropolitan city is like no other place in the world," says founder Jamal Abdourahman. "Here we have a unique community of sophisticated, intelligent and artistic people. They know and understand quality, and have an appetite and appreciation for international design. The first decade for VFW was spent building up international presence and exposure. After 10 years of growing global media coverage, we have over 50 world-wide media partnerships, and over 20 international designers exhibiting. We are living the dream that we envisioned years ago for VFW to be part of an international fashion destination!"
