By Eva Fydrych

Timmy

Occupation: Photographer
City: Hong Kong, China

FASHION STUDIO: When did you start photography?

TIMMY: I started photography 10 years ago when I was 17. I used to shoot with an old film camera.

FASHION STUDIO: What kind of photography are you mostly interested in?

TIMMY: I specialize in fashion and portrait photography.

FASHION STUDIO: Do you prefer shooting in studio or on location?

TIMMY: I like both.

FASHION STUDIO: How would you describe fashion market in Hong Kong?

TIMMY: Hong Kong fashion and retail industry is flourishing. After China joined WTO, Chinese people have become richer and the demand for Hong Kong fashion has increased. A lot of world famous fashion brands opened their branch stores in Hong Kong. And also, China is a world factory. A lot of clothes made in China are sold low-priced in Hong Kong.

FASHION STUDIO: Best shopping place in the city...

TIMMY: You can find some famous fashion brands in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. If you are on a budget, there are a lot of beauty stores and cheaper clothes in Mom Kok and Sham Shui Po.

FASHION STUDIO: What do you like about living in Hong Kong? What makes it different from other cities?

TIMMY: I like living in Hong Kong because you can find the countryside within a short distance from the city. You can have the best of both worlds.

FASHION STUDIO: What are your future plans?

TIMMY: I'm planning to open my own studio and to develop the pre-wedding photo service.

FASHION STUDIO: Thank you for your time!
