Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich 2011
The second edition of the Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich ended successfully on Saturday. More than 6000 guests got to experience the catwalk shows during the course of the event, which included the eighth Annabelle Award, the VOGUE Salon presented by Mercedes-Benz and the Fashion Rocks Showcase.

Zurich – November 14, 2011 - The first season of the Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich ended on Saturday. Over the course of the four day event, national and international designers as well as music bands celebrated the fashion event, aimed towards a fashion interested audience.
"The audience was very excited about the designers and music acts – Robert Cavalli was celebrated with standing ovations. The glamorous event Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich is a perfect fit for Zurich and we are already looking forward to its next edition in 2012.” Said Stefan Haensel, Project Manager IMG, Charles Vöegele Fashion Days Zurich.
For four days young talent, established designers and international brands presented their collections on the catwalk of the Charles Vögele Fashion Days. Among the presented collections were designs by Augustin Teboul, Aziza Zina, Biaggini Violett by Charles Vögele, BOSS Black and HUGO by Globus, Claudia Zuber, Javier Reyes, Just Cavalli, Julien Macdonald, Kilian Kerner, Levi’s by Globus, Little Black Dress, Michael Sontag, Oakley, PortenierRoth, René Storck, Sara Vidas, Scotch & Soda and Maison Scotch by Globus, Talbot Runhof, Toujours Toi Family Affairs, van Bery and Vladimir Karaleev.
"The Opening Night of the Charles Vögele Fashion Days was a huge success. We had a lot of positive feedback on our show and we were very pleased to have Til Schweiger present his collection on the catwalk. With the grand performance by Sarah Connor, the show even included a musical highlight”, stated Frank Beeck, CEO of Charles Vögele Switzerland.

At the eighth Annabelle Award on Thursday evening, MAXIM RAPPAZ was announced as the winner by ROBERTO CAVALLI. He managed to prove himself against 5 other young designers and will now receive the opportunity to complete an internship in ROBERTO CAVALLI’s atelier in Florence, where his line JUST CAVALLI is created. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection of JUST CAVALLI was a highlight of the evening.
On Friday evening, the German Vogue presented the “VOGUE Salon”. Editor in chief Christiane Arp was personally present. The designers Vladimir Karaleev, René Storck, Michael Sontag and the label Augustin Teboul presented their creations to the audience. The closing highlight of the evening were the creations shown by the German/American designer duo Talbot Runhof, that have already been part of Fashion Week in Paris.
On Saturday evening the Charles Vögele Fashion Days Zurich presented the Fashion Rocks Showcase for the first time in Zurich. The evening started with the “Street Rocks” motto where GLOBUS presented exclusive styles by Scotch & Soda/Maison Scotch and the Denim Pioniers Levi‘s®. Star designer Julien Macdonald presented his extravagant collection along the performance of the band Hard-Fi. “I'm so excited to be in Zurich. Switzerland is one of my favourite places to come especially for skiing in winter. It's amazing that I got to show my collection on a catwalk in Zurich for the first time ever, modelled by fantastic hand-picked selection of girls, along with Hard-Fi, one of the hottest British bands. Fashion Rocks with Julien Macdonald was an electrifying experience and the hottest tickets in town, where you mingled with the fashion elite as well as celebrities. See you all at the afterparty to rock the night away in true Fashion Rocks style”, Julien Macdonald stated shortly after the show. For the “Snow Rocks” Motto Oakley showed their current winter collection, with Finnish snowboard professional Erol Ettela walked as a model to tunes by DJ Doobious. The DJ duo Märtini Brös gave the HUGO BOSS by Globus Show an electrical house-track prelude.
Famous personalities such as actor Til Schweiger, popstar Sarah Connor, Miss Schweiz Organizer Karina Berger, Mr. Schweiz Luca Ruch, football expert Alain Sutter, Rapper Stress, singer Seven, moderators Jubaira Bachmann and Max Loong, DJ Tanja Lacroix, Nadine Strittmatter, Melanie Winiger and many others attended the shows.
