Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - one of the most beloved tales, a fantasy book full of mythology and elements of magic - has inspired artists, photographers and fashion designers for nearly 150 years... The author of this influential novel, Lewis Carroll (real name Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) was a mathematician at Oxford University and had a big interest in photography as well.

The Lewis Carroll's classic has fascinated children and adults alike for generations. The fact that Alice in Wonderland is still relevant today shows what a great author Carroll was and how thoughtful this child's tale actually is. On the surface, the book seems to be just about a young girl who travels down the rabbit hole to discover a new world and a great adventure.
But the truth is, as with many fantasy books, the novel is filled with many diverse layers. If you look at the story carefully, there is a deeper underlying meaning and a world rich with philosophical life lessons. Lewis takes us to the magical, surreal dreamworld filled with creatures like a blue caterpillar who smokes a hookah, a cat whose grin remains after its head has faded away, or a White Queen who lives backward and remembers forward. The world full of colours and imagination, where anything may happen...

"Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?"
"That depends a good deal on where you want to get to," said the Cat.
"I don’t much care where--" said Alice.
"Then it doesn’t matter which way you go," said the Cat.
"--so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added as an explanation.
"Oh, you’re sure to do that," said the Cat, "if you only walk long enough."
